Donation Updates Caught Up

I have got the donation updates caught up.

Currently, we need to raise $549.84 by 5/8/2012 to get caught up.

Donations were very strong through the end of 2011, and for the first time in Good Company/LSE history we actually finished the year with a surplus. Thank you very much!!

The start to 2012 has been a little weak, and we have fallen behind slightly.

If you have been thinking of making a donation recently, now would be a GREAT TIME to help us get caught up, and back on track.

Cheaters Beware!

If you haven’t noticed already, there are some new Game Admins roaming the LSE Game Servers with a brand new tool to catch cheaters!

The NO RECOIL TEST is now available to LSE Game Admins to detect players with a no recoil hack installed.

Players caught with a no recoil hack will be banned immediately from the LSE Game Servers.

DO NOT come on the LSE Servers with any cheats installed, because we have NEW ADMINS and NEW TOOLS to catch them!!

Small Changes to Blog

I’ve made a few small changes to the blog tonight. Hopefully to improve readability, and provide better information on when something is posted, etc.

I’ve added a divider between each post so they don’t just run together, and I’ve also added the posted date right underneath the subject of the post so you know when it was added.

I hope these two small improvements make the blog easier to read.

Website and Forums BACK UP!

Well, after a LOT of trial and error, troubleshooting, upgrading, you name it – I hope the main website and forums are back up for good.

PLEASE let me know ASAP if you experience any 500 Internal Server Errors, or if the main website or forums start running slow again.

Website and Forums Are Down

500 – Internal server error.

Yes, that is all you’re going to get at the moment if you try the regular website or forums.

I’m still working on the issue, and I’m going to need to find some external help for this issue as I feel I’ve been beaten.

After spending the last two days trying to resolve the answer, and upgrading PHP, this is where I’m at.

I’ll post more when this issue is resolved.

Website and Forum Issues

I apologize to everyone for the poor performance of the Website and Forums the last several weeks.

If it’s not a 500 Internal Server Error, the website and forums are simply running too slow to be of any practical use. It’s frustrating for sure.

The worst part is that sometimes, the website and forums are running perfectly fine. Fast response, no errors, etc., but it’s mingled with slow and sluggish speeds and 500 errors.

I spent the greater deal of yesterday troubleshooting, pouring over config files, log files, error logs, etc., and to be honest I’m at my wit’s end on finding a solution.

I will continue to work on things over the next few days, and let you know if there’s any progress. I’ve ran a MySQL optimization tool this morning,  but didn’t notice a difference as the site and forums continues to run slow.  My next step may be an upgrade and optimization of PHP.

Server Issues!

Well, I’ve spent the last hour and a half dealing with the support staff at Good Company’s server provider looking for answers for the downtime this evening.

I know for sure that TeamSpeak has been down for over an hour now, and access to the website and forums is spotty as well.

I believe some of the game servers have been affected also.

This is not a “low on funds” issue, as all bills are paid and up-to-date, but instead it is a technical issue, and I’m working with the server provider to get it resolved.

I’m going to bed now, and will check on things in the morning.
