I apologize to everyone for not updating the status of donations more frequently.
I am all caught up now, and as it stands today, we’re in a bit of a need for some donations!
In September the donations started taking a hit, and started to go in the wrong direction.
As it stands, we needed to raise $471.84 by 4/8/2013 to be even again, but through the time of this post we had only raised $285.
The donation board is really starting to look like a broken record, and I can’t tell you how much appreciation I have for the generous people that donate every month, month after month!
If it wasn’t for them, it would be extremely difficult to keep the bills paid.
THANK YOU to the Subscribers!
Please show me that this site is still important to you by helping me come up with the $200 needed over the next couple days to get us out of this shortage!
Thanks again everyone!!
My last post to the blog was on April 11, 2012, and it was a plea for donations because we were getting behind on the bills.
It should not be a surprise to anyone that the outpouring of response just proves the incredible strength of this community!!
From April 11th to May 7th we raised $820 and have been in a SURPLUS situation ever since!!!
I can’t thank you enough for your generosity and support for Good Company Gaming!!
I would also like to make a special thanks to [LSE] Clyde Barrow, [LSE] Nemesis, [LSE] Irish Queen, [LSE] Capt Morgan, [LSE] Dunergirl and [LSE] Hardknoc! and his wife for the monetary contributions to this year’s LSE Bash held in La Crosse the first week of August. They more than covered the cost of the facilities for the LAN party, and I am sincerely grateful for your help!
All of the donations have been updated, and are available for viewing.
Thanks again everyone!!
I have got the donation updates caught up.
Currently, we need to raise $549.84 by 5/8/2012 to get caught up.
Donations were very strong through the end of 2011, and for the first time in Good Company/LSE history we actually finished the year with a surplus. Thank you very much!!
The start to 2012 has been a little weak, and we have fallen behind slightly.
If you have been thinking of making a donation recently, now would be a GREAT TIME to help us get caught up, and back on track.
You can also find all the history of donations through the menu system in the toolbar, or by going to the Financial Status Page Here for links.
I have also put together a nice summary for the Year of 2011 here:
Year 2011 Donations Review
It was a STRONG year for donations, and I appreciate it immensely.
Let’s try and get things caught up this month, and back on track!
Wow!! I cannot even begin to describe the appreciation I feel!!
We have November’s server bills completed covered by donations, with a SURPLUS moving forward to December of $127.16!
For a list of all the incredible donations this last month, visit http://www.gcg-blog.com/?page_id=15
Thank you all so very much!!
The exhaustive donation audit for 2011 is COMPLETE!!
The GOOD NEWS is that Good Company Gaming is a little more solid financially than I first guessed!
This is a monumental step in organizing the finances of this gaming community so that there’s not a mad rush to “save the servers”, and worry about having to shut down game servers.
You will now have an up-to-date picture at ALL TIMES on exactly where we stand and how much we need to raise, and by when.
Visit the Donations Recieved link on the right hand side under Good Company Links or hover over the “Financial Status” in the top bar until the “Donations Received” link pops up underneath it, and click on it there. If you hover over the “Donations Received” in the menu system above, you will get further links to specific time periods for donations.
I would like to take this time to thank everyone that contributes on a regular basis to keep Good Company alive! It’s a testament to this community to have the expenses covered every month!
Also, based on the things I’ve discovered during this audit of donations, and the devotion to this community, I promise to make Good Company and LSE the BEST that I can. I have a fresh, renewed interest in working on things important to this community, and you can expect to see the fruits of my newfound dedication from every aspect – new Game Admins, the website, this blog, the game servers, the forums, etc.!!!
You can expect NEW members, and purging of old that have lost their way to Good Company.
GET EXCITED everyone!! The dawn of a new era here at Good Company is JUST BEGINNING!!!
I am in the process of posting a full accounting of donations for this year.
IMPORTANT: If you want to remain completely anonymous you need to let me know ASAP. Also, If you do NOT want your name listed along with your username you must let me know!
My plan is to list all donations like this:
9/30/2011 : Mike Rudie : vkdawg : $25.00
I have a pretty good accounting of checks received and PayPal donations, but if there’s a missing donation, please let me know ASAP with the details, so I can look it up and get it listed.
I know of some people already that would rather remain anonymous, but would still like everyone to email me, and let me know their preference.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know your full name, username, and your preference for recognition of donating to Good Company!
Hello everyone. Unfortunately, the LSE servers are currently down due to lack of funds. I’m sorry I have not posted an update until now. Life has been hectic.
At this point I’m unsure whether I can sustain this, and keep the servers running. I do not know if I want to ask for donations at this point due to the severity of the Past Due balances that are owed on the servers.
Far too much has come out of my pocket, and it’s only getting worse with people cancelling their donation subscriptions, and donations at an all time low, and I just don’t think I can keep it up anymore.
I promise when I am back from business travel, I will post a full accounting of what has been donated, and what has come out of my pocket.
I will get an update out by this weekend hopefully.
Yes, today’s downtime was again due to the servers being suspended due to past due server fees.
This in large part is what cause me to build this blog that is not connected to the webserver that runs Good Company Gaming, and can be a central point for status updates, and a way to communicate should the main site go down.
I am also working on being able to update you better and more periodically about the financial status of Good Company so that you will be able to see at all times when funds are needed to continue operations, and also recognize those that have contributed to the cause of keeping this site up.
Now more than ever, I need to ask you to include a note with your username when you donate either through PayPal, or when sending a check in the mail, and if you want to remain anonymous I need to know that as well also.
I hope to have these pages “Financial Status” and “Donations Received” fully updated in the days to come.
